Object description

The great stone is also called the Devil’s Stone in ancient stories. The Devil was sitting on it, watching the people of Gauja. It is also called Runtiņš’s source stone, because a strong spring flows next to it. The height of the stone is from 1.1 m to 2.5 m, length 5.3 m, width 3.7 m, it is a rounded pegmatite with coarse-grained granite inclusions. In ancient times it was located on the bank of the Gauja.
