Object description
Ķūķu cliffs are deemed the most massive sandstone outcrop in Latvia from the Devonian Period. Length ~ 500 m, height – 43 m. The massive cliffs are still shaped under the influence of the current, springs, and ice coming with the flood waters. Two brooks have washed out 10 m and 20 m long caves, which are accessible only by canoe.
During cold winters beautiful frozen waterfalls are formed on the cliffs.
