Vecgaviļu oak

The Vecgavilu noble oak can be seen at Vecgavilu homes. The trunk and branches of the oak are richly grown with moss, including the greenish willow recorded in the Red Book. Trunk girth P = 6,52 m Height H = 15 m. Crown projection S = 235 m. Age 300 years. The splendor of the noble oak is at its roots. A powerful and beautiful grandfather of oak is trapped on the shoreline. The storm has cleared the tops and most of the trunk. The thunderbolt has removed a good part of the northern part of the trunk.
