Object description
In the west of Valka city, between trees, grass and Pedele river is made open air stage for song and dance festivals. It is significant, that open air stage and audience seats are separate with Pedele river, which flows through the Valka city.
Audience seats and platform join two bridges, which had built above the river. Open air stage had 2000 places and 3-5 thousand seats for viewers.
Open air stage had build in 1969. In 1970 expand dance floor, create several grasslands and concreted the riverside.
Near to the open air stage, in the top of Avota hill are in the travertine cuted Sculpture „Zither Player”, which was mounted in honour General Latvian song and dance festival century.
