Nature park “Zilie Kalni ” (Blue Hills)

Object description
Since 2004, the nature park “Ogres Zilie kalni” is a specially protected nature territory with an area of 312 ha. Most of the park’s territory is occupied by coniferous forests on axes – a series of wavy hills, which are part of the Great Kangaroo Mountains. Dubkalni Reservoir boasts very clean and clear bathing water, which is perfect for diving. Rest areas by the water are equipped with changing rooms, in the swimming season with WC.
In the territory of the park there is a 30 m high wooden observation tower, from which a wonderful view of the Daugava opens. In clear weather it is possible to see Riga from the tower.
