On July 26th, we honored the Feast of St. James, which in Spain is traditionally celebrated over three days. This beautiful event is yet another reminder to celebrate life, embrace special moments, and go with the flow of experience.
This year, our celebration was unhurried, filled with heartfelt and honest stories about the many journeys and experiences of pilgrims. We are grateful for our Latvian Camino, a path that is not only beautiful but also carries an important message: that one does not always have to go far to discover the lessons that every journey has to offer.
During the celebration, we also felt deep inspiration, full of gratitude, seeing how many people have walked across the whole of our country.
Each person who had completed the full Latvian Camino received a special certificate as a recognition that their journey was real and meaningful.
We are proud that the Camino shell symbol now adorns the entrance to the St. James Cathedral, and that a scallop shell is embedded in the pavement – a place where pilgrims now take photos before setting off.
We’re also delighted by the sculpture of St. James placed in a place of honor, recently arrived from Spain. It was a privilege to witness the swinging of the incense censer, and to feel its deep meaning for each one present.
🤍 Thank you for your open hearts and conversations! 🤍 May the path always live in our hearts! 🤍
